StatsBook June 2010 Release Notes New features: June 2010 * New statistics break down performance statistics by position. * StatsBook supports penalty handling as per the June 2010 rules. * New code (A) added for High Blocks. * Instructions now explain official procedure/definition for current pass as used by lineup trackers. Please make sure your lineup trackers are aware. General fixes * Updates/changes to instructions on bottom. * Corrections in formulas. Known issues: * Skater numbers with leading zeros that duplicate the number of another skater on same team's roster may result in stats from both skaters being combined. For example, skaters 007 and 7. To avoid this problem, Substitute the letter O for the first leading zero in such numbers on the IBRF/ITRF tab, the score sheets and the lineup sheets. This is an issue with Excel that does not appear to be resolvable, as all skater number fields in StatsBook are text-formatted. Compatibility issues: * Users of Excel 2003 now MUST download and install Microsoft's Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System. The update can be found at http://tinyurl/CompatPack * Users of Excel 2008 for Macintosh will notice the tabs are all grey at the bottom. Excel for Mac issue. * Pages may not break exactly where they do on Windows systems. Mac users advised to set page breaks as needed. 4.2.1: General fixes * Corrected how the team summary Total +/- is computed. Note that this impacts how each skater's VTAR Average +/- is computed. If you use this stat to compare skater performance from bout to bout, it is suggested that you copy your entered data from the old version of the sheet into this one. * Fixed bounds checking on the visiting team's Action % formula. * Improved consistency in formulas. 4.2.0: New features: * Corrected/updated sheet bottom verbiage per WFTDA Stats guidance. Please note these important changes. * Jam Timer tab now allows for entries in a time format (m:ss) as well as total number of seconds. Either entry method will produce the same results without "breaking" the formulas. * Improved display of team names. All tabs (but Whiteboards) can now display league name and team name. If both leagues are the same, only the home team names display. If league and team name are the same, that travel team name is only displayed once. An optional format for doubleheaders of two leagues' A and B teams can be enabled by entering A or B in the bout number field on the IBRF tab. Boxes for league/team names widened, cells will shrink text to fit. * Bout Summary and Penalty Summary tabs are now printable. * Both summary tabs will nag the user if certain IBRF/ITRF fields have not been filled in. * Date of release now included on Read Me tab. * Users of Excel 2003 and older are advised to download the "Compatibilty Pack for the 2007 Office System" from Microsoft. General fixes: * Fixed formulas on Bout Summary tab that could break under certain conditions. * Improved cell format consistency within results sheets and between versions (decimal places and cell widths). * Tournament version is functionally identical to regular bout version, but allows for more skaters. Only noticeable difference is that Penalty Summary prints landscape for bout version and portrait for tournament version. * ReadMe tab updated to reflect some changes in the sheet.
