Rainy City took an early command of the board when jammer Alex Wilde scored two big grand slams against Charm for a 10-0 start to the game. Rainy would continue to get lead for the next couple of jams while strong walls comprised of blockers like Fay Roberts, Dana Scurry and Ruthless Philly kept the Charm City jammers locked into the pack and unable to break free. By the end of jam 3, Rainy City had taken a 28-0 lead.

Dottie Deathwish, who had a standout performance for Charm City as their highest scoring jammer with 47 points in the game, put the first 5 on the board for Charm when she quickly claimed lead in jam 4 before Rainy City’s jammer was sent to the box, giving Dottie a power jam opportunity. Cohesive Rainy City walls featuring Missy Rascal, Banshee, and Menace held Charm to just the one scoring pass on that jam.

Rainy City had a few power jams that went in their favor, which allowed them several high scoring jams as they continued to run away with the lead, including a 15-point power jam for Rainy City jammer Alex Valentine.

Slow, tenacious walls by both teams took control of much of the game, forcing several jams to go a full minute or more before a lead jammer could break free, including powerful tripods featuring Raven Darkhold, She-Bear and GG Hardy locking down lines for Charm City.
