2024 WFTDA Global Championships Announcers Revealed

The bracket release for the 2024 WFTDA Global Championships, hosted by Rose City Rollers November 1-3, in Portland, OR, USA, revealed some exciting match-ups. Now, we’re pleased to reveal this year’s Championships Announcer Crew!

Tournament Head Announcers (Co-THAs) Shady Hawkins and Loquita Bonita have selected an excellent team of folks for this year’s crew of announcers and it reflects one of the largest influxes of new talent we have seen. The selection was made in consultation with the Chairs and members of the Announcer Development Committee and feedback from other THAs this postseason.

We are excited for the first WFTDA Championship tournament since 2019. This year’s crew represents derby from across the globe. We continue to be inspired by the ever growing international representation at Global Championships, and are proud to reflect that growth in our group of voices, with speakers of English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese joining us this year.

Thirteen teams from around the world will be battling for the Hydra, and we look forward to bringing all the hard-hitting action and in-depth insight that brings derby to life whether watching in person or via the live stream.
