WFTDA Celebrates 2019 Transgender Day of Visibility
We are proud to have one of the most inclusive gender statements in sport and we are proud of the incredible advancements our community has made in gender and sport discussions around the world, four years after the initial release of our statement. We continue to work daily to learn, grow and develop more inclusive policies and processes that support the safety and inclusion of all communities in roller derby.
Here’s just a few of the discussions our gender statement has opened around the world.
Please join us in celebrating the 2019 Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31, share this post and share resources from your league with the world and show that everyone belongs in sport.
#InternationalWomensDay is a lovely excuse to read the WFTDA Gender Statement, if you haven’t already! https://t.co/zWXhG1SllR

But all of that slips away when I strap on my pads and skates and learn how to jump, or weave, or skate backwards. That’s what finding something you love can be like. It doesn’t have to be derby for everyone, but it was for me.
