Greensboro Roller Derby

Greensboro Roller Derby was founded on February 3, 2010.  From the ground up, a group of strong-willed, dedicated women have turned what was once a dream for a few, into a reality for many.

Greensboro Roller Derby has one interleague “All-Star” team: the Gate City Rollergirls, one interleague “B” team: Counterstrike, and three intraleague teams: the Battleground Betties, the Elm Street Nightmares, and the Mad Dollies. Our All-Star team plays other WFTDA teams from around the world throughout the season, and work towards improving their international WFTDA ranking.  The intraleague teams play against each other throughout the season, culminating in a Home Team Championship bout, where the winning team takes home the Lockard/Lugin Leg Lamp trophy!

Greensboro Roller Derby is a not for profit organization.  At each of our events, we donate a portion of our proceeds to charity. We could not do this without the support of our fans, as well as many local artists and business owners.
