WFTDA is delighted to announce that for the first time ever the 2026 WFTDA European Regional Championships will have multiple streams, providing commentary to the audience at home in either English or French. All 17 games at the European Regional Championships will be available with an English commentary stream and a French language commentary stream.

This is a first for WFTDA, and we are excited to be working in partnership with Roller Derby Live Stream to deliver this opportunity. This exciting expansion of WFTDA stream provision has been due to the work of the Announcing Development Committee and committed announcers across the world developing resources, opportunities, and experience to widen the pool of announcers. 

In particular we are grateful to the work of Hémo and Toxic Lady in recruiting and training French-speaking announcers so that we can now provide a full French crew for the European Regional Championships. 

Purchasing a stream pass for the European Regional Championships, available on the WFTDA Sporfie channel will provide access to both the English and French streams.

La WFTDA est ravie d’annoncer que, pour la toute première fois, les European Regional Championships de la WFTDA seront diffusés sur plusieurs flux, offrant aux spectateurices à domicile des commentaires en anglais ou en français.  

Les 17 matchs des European Regional Championships seront disponibles avec un flux de commentaires en anglais et un flux de commentaires en français. 

C’est une première pour la WFTDA et nous sommes ravi·es de collaborer avec Roller Derby Live Stream pour offrir cette nouveauté. Cette évolution de l’offre de diffusion de la WFTDA est le fruit du travail du Announcing Development Committee et de commentateurices engagé·es à travers le monde, qui ont développé des ressources, des opportunités et de l’expérience pour élargir le vivier de commentateurices. 

Nous tenons tout particulièrement à remercier Hémo et Toxic Lady pour leur travail de recrutement et de formation de commentateurices francophones, grâce auquel nous pouvons désormais proposer une équipe de commentateurices entièrement francophone pour les European Regional Championships.
