2026 WFTDA Latin America Regional Championships Bracket Released

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association is pleased to release the 2026 Latin America Regional Championships bracket taking place on April 3-5, 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, hosted by Avas Roller Derby. The WFTDA Rankings Calibration panel is a subcommittee of Competitive Play and includes two representatives from each competitive region. Our Calibration representatives have worked together over the past six months to select the regional tournament brackets that we will release over the next three months as our regions reach the rankings cutoff for the 2024-2026 competitive season.

The WFTDA Latin America Championships bracket uses the March 1, 2026 rankings to seed the teams. The regular power seeding bracket led to a number of same-country match-ups in round 1 and 2. This is unfortunate for teams at a regional tournament not to be able to play new opponents, so the panel swapped seeds 6 and 7 and 9 and 10 to prevent match-ups between teams from the same country. The winner of the tournament will be invited to the 2026 WFTDA Championships in Malmö, Sweden.
