Denver Roller Derby Wins 2019 International WFTDA Playoffs: Seattle
Denver Roller Derby of Denver, Colorado, US (Seed #1) won the 2019 International WFTDA Playoffs: Seattle, hosted by Rat City Roller Derby in Seattle, Washington, US, September 13-15, 2019. Denver will advance to the 2019 International WFTDA Championships in Montréal, November 15-17. Joining them will be Montréal Roller Derby of Montréal, Québec, Canada (Seed #2), who came in Second Place, and Philly Roller Derby of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US (Seed #3) who came in Third Place.
The tournament MVP was Klein of Denver Roller Derby, selected by the WFTDA Board of Directors for embodying the WFTDA’s values of being real, strong, athletic, and revolutionary on and off the track. Klein’s performance this weekend was “a highlight reel of agile line-work, lateral movement, and consistently beating blockers attempting to run her back,” said WFTDA Vice President Deadeye while presenting the award.

The 2019 WFTDA Bracket Challenge by Derby on Toast had one person with a perfect bracket at the end the tournament.
