With Calgary Roller Derby winning the North America West Cup earlier this month, this means that all of the Continental Cups winners in 2019 are/will be from outside of the United States, a true testament to the global growth of our sport and the amazing athletes who participate around the world.

Detroit Roller Derby (#3 Seed) from Detroit, Michigan, US came in Second Place and Boston Roller Derby (Seed #2) of Boston, Massachusetts, US came in Third Place after a hard-fought game against Naptown Roller Derby (Seed #1).
Everything Rookard does is highlight real but for now I'd like to spotlight this beautiful calm Detroit blocking formation. Links appear and are dropped as needed, the pushes are made expertly. Just really nice derby 👏 #talk2wftda #WFTDACups pic.twitter.com/6UXMCax2qo

Dutchland Derby Rollers started the weekend with thirty seconds of silence just before Gem City Roller Derby from Dayton, Ohio took to the track for their first game, to recognize those lost in the mass shooting in Dayton earlier this month.

The MVP award was presented to Jules of the first-place team, Sailor City. In the semi-final game alone, Jules had a 100% lead jammer status, and scored 378 points in their first three games, all while receiving only one penalty.

Thank you to our awesome Officials and the fantastic announcers who kept the mics hot in-arena and on the broadcast.
So many amazing officials this weekend 🦓 Check out this jam ref. Spots that Lexical Dexterity (pivot turned jammer on 6 penalties 😬) has erroneously headed to the box, they head over immediately to rectify the situation & call the jammer back to the track #talk2wftda #WFTDACups pic.twitter.com/rKxmArhPNn
