The Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association is proud to announce a request for presentations for the upcoming 2019 Roller Derby World Summit. Held biennially, the Roller Derby World Summit brings together the global roller derby community for a multiple day event that features education, updates, training, and more. In order to bring the best and most innovative training and development programs to the RDWS, we are asking for presentation submissions including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Anti Harassment and Abuse in Roller Derby
  • Anti Racism Work in Roller Derby
  • Culture Building
  • Cultural Competency
  • Global Roller Derby
  • Intersectionality in Roller Derby
  • League Operations
  • League Policies and Procedures
  • Membership Recruitment and Retention
  • Officiating Education
  • Relationship Building
  • Safety Protocol Best Practices
  • Skater Training
  • Venue Management

In addition to general roller derby topics, the WFTDA will also host Association-specific programs, and welcome submissions that address content that speaks to the business and culture of the WFTDA.

To submit, please email with the requested information below with the subject line “RDWS 2019 RFP Response.” Submissions with supplemental materials (presentations, outlines etc) should attach collateral as a pdf document.

Tell us who you are, a bit about your experience, why you want to present.

Session proposals are due by December 10th, 2018. Proposals will be reviewed by December 17th, 2018 and selections made by December 31st, 2018. Proposals that are selected will be communicated by January 7th, 2019 and any fees associated with conference attendance will be waived for presenters.
