ROSE CITY WINS!

Rose City Rollers (Seed #1) of Portland, Oregon, USA won the 2019 International WFTDA Championships in Montréal and will take home the Hydra trophy once again. Gotham Girls Roller Derby (Seed #2) of New York, New York, USA came in second, and Victorian Roller Derby League (Seed #3) of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia came in third.

Gotham’s Bonita Apple Bomb was selected as tournament MVP.

The WFTDA was honored to host WE ARE NATION: A GAME WITHOUT BORDERS featuring Team Indigenous and Jewish Roller Derby during the 2019 Championships tournament. Read more about this revolutionary event.

Brackets

The top 4 teams in the June 2019 Rankings received a bye straight to Championships, and were be joined by the top three finishers from the Playoffs tournaments in Winston-Salem and Seattle. Seeding for those six teams was determined based on the September 30 Rankings (read more). Read more about the WFTDA Tournament Structure and Seeding Process.
